Covid-19 Response Plan and Updates

This information was last updated April 6, 2020.

To Our Clients:

The well-being of our clients and staff has always been our first priority at Scott, Tokerud & McCarty. By now, we have all been impacted in some way by the coronavirus (COVID-19), and, like all of you, we continue to monitor the evolving situation daily and to take guidance from state and federal authorities.

We want you to know that we are open and here to provide you with the same high standard of legal services you have come to rely upon. I’m happy to report that we’re all healthy and symptom-free, but we are taking immediate steps to minimize the spread of the virus. Toward that end, we are not scheduling in-person meetings at this time.  However, we’re glad to meet with you by phone or on virtually on any platform (Skype, Face Time, Zoom, our conference call lines) that you wish.

We are also arranging for signings in a way that keeps us all safe. This week we had our first “curbside” signings. Who’d have ever thought that we’d be meeting in our building parking lot!  But that method allows us to keep our clients safe and to get their planning in place during these uncertain times.

We would advise you to not postpone any changes or updates you may be considering to your estate plans at this time. Unfortunately, the need for a good estate plan is more essential now than ever.

If there is anything we can do for you or if you have any questions please let us know.  All the best from our team to you and your family in these crazy times.
